Shattering Common Pregnancy Myths…

You see, as a health and fitness expert, my passion is teaching women what's true and false when it comes to having a healthy pregnancy. (There's so much misinformation being spread out there, it really frustrates me.)

And, the FIRST thing I want you to know is you don't have to take months (or years) to get back into your pre-pregnancy shape after having your baby. I know some people say it takes at least 9 months, but that is just not true! The truth is, you CAN have a happy and healthy baby while getting back into shape quickly and easily–sometimes in as little as 37 days. Not only that, you can actually improve your health… and your shape… during your pregnancy. But that pregnancy myth is just the tip of the iceberg.

Many women are completely confused when it comes to pregnancy and health. The lies they've been told make me so frustrated I can hardly stand it.These good women don't know what foods, supplements, beauty products, and exercises are safe, or dangerous, during each trimester. And they don't know the simple tricks you can use to…Prevent Some of Pregnancy's Most Unpleasant Side Effects  - Like Acne, Varicose Veins, Saggy Breasts, Stretch Marks, Excess Fat, And Cellulite. And many don't know the secrets to increasing the chance of having a healthy baby—which is the most important thing of all.

What makes me even more frustrated is knowing that there are thousands of pregnant women I'll never get to share this important information with. After all, I can't share everything they need to know in one newspaper article, or during a television segment. And there are only so many hours in the day for one-on-one coaching. So when I became pregnant, I decided to document exactly what I did, and what I learned (with photos, audio, video, and in writing), so I could create a System that would help thousands of moms-to-be from all over the world get a Slim Mom body and a happy and healthy baby!

When my results were announced during a segment on Fox News television… and women saw real proof that they could have a healthy baby while getting back into pre-pregnancy shape (or better)… just 37 days after giving birth… my phone started ringing off the hook. Women everywhere wanted personal coaching, but with a new baby, I just didn't have the time.

Fortunately, I discovered an easy way I could share this information… to find out more ….and  "Discover How You Can Get Back into Your Pre-Pregnancy Shape (or Better) just 37 Days After Your Healthy Baby is Born!" click on to www.bestbabycareebooks.com

Responsibility for toddlers

Tuesday, December 16th, 2008

Responsibility is always something that comes with a price. Part of the problem with a lot of situations and children today is that they simply don't have the responsibility that they need to make good decisions and to do well in the world around them.

There are many reasons for this, and there are many things that a parent can do in order to help their children learn more responsibility in the long run.  First of all, the best way to teach a child responsibility is to model it. It is a proven fact that a child will respond best to what he sees around him. This means that as a child watches the way that you run your life and the things that you say and do to others, this is what they are going to learn.  Therefore, if you are not responsible, and if you do things that you might not think are the best ways to do things, you will see that your child will model these behaviors as well.

There are many times when you might find yourself faced with this type of choice – and you should know that the best way for you to get children to be responsible is to show them what it means to be responsible.

The other way that you can teach your children to be responsible is to start small. Many times when a parent feels that their child is ready for responsibilities, they are given too much responsibility at once. This creates a situation where a child has absolutely no idea of how to cope with their responsibilities, and they might feel as if they have been totally overlooked. If you want to make your child responsible and teach them how to be so, you have to start out in ways that they can understand.

Start with small projects and small tasks, and then work your way to the larger things. This is the best way that you can help your child be just as responsible as you need them to be. You cannot teach a child to be responsible by giving them so many tasks that they cannot see a way to be successful. Therefore, you have to start small. Give a child one thing to do, and make sure that they do it. If, for some reason, they do not do what you have asked them to do, there should be a consequence that happens. Doing small projects with small consequences is the best way that you can make sure your children learn how to be responsible.

Remember that part of being responsible is wanting to take control of things and want to be the person who is in charge. Often, a small pet such as a fish or a rodent is a good way to teach a child to be responsible because they are fairly easy to care for and they are something that a parent can deal with if they need to. If your child wants a larger pet like a cat or a dog, you can start small and see how they handle the responsibility of that smaller pet. If they are able to take care of the smaller pet, you might find that they are ready for bigger responsibilities.

Remember, a child will be more likely to show you what they are ready for, and they will be more likely to help you understand what they can and cannot do yet. So take your cues from them, know your children, and you will see that this is the best way for them to become responsible.

BABY SAFETY

The Babies here – what next

Monday, December 15th, 2008

You have been waiting 9 months for this arrival

For some of you the nine months wait has been a “LONG” time. You may have just given up work  - or you may have not kept the best health  - any worries you had prior usually disappear the moment you set eyes on the new baby.

Finally you get to meet your new baby. But like many new parents, you might not have a clear idea of what that meeting will be like.

What will your baby look like

Although you may have visions of a robust bouncing baby, reality may not match that image. Many newborns are tiny, wet creatures when they first emerge. Often their heads are slightly pointed as a result of passing through the birth canal. This is only temporary — the head will take on a rounded appearance within a few days. It may surprise you that a newborn's head is so big compared with the rest of the body.

Your baby also may look scrunched up since the legs and arms have been kept bent at the knees and elbows while in the womb. After months of growing in ever-tightening close quarters, this is perfectly normal. The limbs will straighten out as your baby grows.Look at your baby's tiny fingers and toes. You'll notice the paper-thin — and sometimes long — nails.Your baby's skin may have one of several possible appearances, looking somewhat red, pink, or purple at first.

Some babies are born with a white coating called vernix caseosa, which protects their skin from the constant exposure to amniotic fluid in the womb. The vernix is washed off with the baby's first bath. Other babies are born very wrinkled. And some, especially premature babies, have a soft, furry appearance because of lanugo, a fine hair that develops while in the womb. Lanugo usually comes off after a week or two.

Rashes and blotches, or tiny white spots also are common on newborns. These generally clear up over the first few days or weeks after birth. The doctor will examine your baby within the first 12–24 hours of birth and make sure that any rashes or spots are normal.Remember, your baby's appearance will change dramatically over the next weeks as he or she grows. The limbs will extend, the skin tone will probably change, and the blotches will disappear.

Baby Colic versus A Good Nights Sleep

Sunday, December 14th, 2008

We have 10 tips to help the baby sleep at night – here is just one of them

During the first year that you will spend with your baby, you will spend a lot of time feeding your baby at night, so you might as well enjoy it. You have two nighttime go when it comes to feeding him which are: for you to get sufficient rest and for you to meet the nutritional and emotional needs of your infant.

Remember, a happy mother and a well-fed baby is the whole point of nursing in the first place. Here are some tricks that will be very helpful.

1. You should remember your goal at night time, which is for your baby to sleep.

You can't force your baby to actually sleep. Your role as a parent is to help create an environment for the baby that induces relaxation so that sleep can overtake the baby naturally.

It is my belief that the ultimate goal of nighttime parenting is give your baby a good attitude about sleep, so that your child grows up seeing sleep as a good thing, with no fears of either falling asleep or staying asleep. In order to accomplish this goal, you will put a lot of effort into parenting your child to sleep and parenting her back to sleep when she wakes up in the middle of the night. Eventually, your efforts will become part of her inner resources, and she will be able to do this for herself.

This goal is not the same as training baby to sleep through the night as soon as possible by denying him parental comfort. What it does mean is that, letting him cry sometimes will allow the baby to correct his own sleeping behavior.

With the cry-it-out method, there’s an important lesson that your baby learns which is that you aren't going to come, so they may as well give up. Less-persistent babies give up the screaming phase quickly. Since they can't trust parents to be there, they learn to deal with their issue on their own.

When dealing with babies, you should try to think of nighttime parenting as a long-term investment. The middle-of-the- night time you put in now will save you a whole lot of sleep in the years ahead. Your children will sleep well when they are older, and the good relationship you have built with them will keep you from lying awake at night worrying about them.
